Are you tired of therapy that only offers coping strategies without creating real change? Are you longing for more than a therapist who quietly listens but doesn’t engage? Do you ever feel frustrated with therapy that only validates your struggles rather than helping you move beyond them? Are you looking for something deeper—for transformation in your life and relationships, not just relief from symptoms? If so, you may be ready for a therapy that doesn’t just help you get by, but helps you rewrite your story and live more fully into the life you long for.

I have been fortunate to have the privilege of providing support and services to a wide range of clients which includes adolescents, adults, couples and families. I enjoy providing a range of therapeutic services including individual, couples and family therapy. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, relationship issues and trauma.

As a proud member of the counseling profession, I am passionate about my mission to help others gain the insight and clarity they seek to overcome the inevitable challenges that life offers. I realize that reaching out for help is deeply personal and I am grateful to have the opportunity to assist those who are interested in my services.

Life is difficult under the best of circumstances. Therapy is a great way of using a healing relationship to identify these coping styles, and ultimately to develop more effective ways of relating to yourself and to others in order to maximize your potential and life satisfaction. I know the struggles of growing through therapy over years of treatment, the difficulty of getting into therapy and staying with it long term. Let’s work together to address the ways in which you suffer so you can experience more freedom in life, get more of what you want and less of what you don’t want.

Teens
Supporting Your Teen Through Life’s Toughest Transitions

The teenage years can be exciting, but also overwhelming. Between academic pressures, social struggles, identity questions, and emotional ups and downs, it’s no surprise many teens feel lost, anxious, or misunderstood. At Krupnick Counseling, I aim to help teens navigate this critical stage of life with empathy, clarity, and practical support.
It’s normal for teens to experience mood swings or push for independence, but therapy may be helpful if your teen is: frequently anxious, angry, withdrawn, struggling with school, difficulty with motivation & focus or experiencing low self-esteem or coping with depression or grief.

Teens often shut down when they feel judged or misunderstood. That’s why I prioritize creating a space where they can be themselves—free of pressure or expectations. I have experience and am skilled at building trust with teens and meeting them where they are, using developmentally appropriate approaches to foster growth and insight.

Every teen’s story is different, and I personalize therapy to match their needs, preferences, and pace. I partner with parents while also respecting your teen’s growing need for autonomy. My goal is to empower both teens and their families with tools that create lasting change.

Families & Couples

Individuals cannot be understood in isolation from others. People are best understood within the context of their “systems.” Typically a person’s most important and most influential system is that of their immediate family and, just like a hanging mobile, movement of one piece of the system inevitably affects the others. Whether it is just one person in the family who seems to have “the problem” or the whole family seems to be in disarray (or anything in between), it is likely that the family as a whole is somehow reinforcing these problematic patterns.
Family therapy is about improving relationships, resolving conflicts, and helping families navigate life’s challenges together. It’s a safe space for everyone—parents, children, siblings, or extended family—to express themselves, be heard, and work on strengthening bonds. I help families address a wide range of issues, including:
Learning to listen and speak with respect and understanding.
Balancing boundaries, discipline, and empathy for your child’s needs.
Resolving disagreements and finding common ground.
Navigating changes like divorce, remarriage, or the loss of a loved one.
Adjusting to new roles and relationships in step-families.

My goal is to help each family member feel supported, while also working towards solutions that bring peace and connection to the whole family. No two families are the same, and that’s why I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of your family. Family therapy is collaborative, which means we’ll work together to:
Help you uncover underlying patterns or tensions that may be affecting your family’s dynamic.
Guide you in expressing thoughts and feelings in ways that promote empathy and understanding.
Learn new tools to handle conflicts, manage stress, and support each other through tough times.
Whether your family is facing a specific challenge or just wants to strengthen your relationships, I am here to help you navigate the journey together.

In family therapy, every voice matters. From our first session, we’ll create a safe and respectful environment where each family member feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings. Together, we’ll work through:
Encouraging honest and respectful dialogue between family members.
Identifying ways to improve trust, understanding, and emotional closeness.
Developing healthier ways to manage disagreements and avoid harmful patterns.
Setting shared goals for your family to work towards together.
We’ll move at a pace that works for your family, building a foundation of trust and cooperation.

Couples Counseling

Whether you’ve just started dating or have been together for decades, breaking up or looking to strengthen your bond, the complexities of sharing yourself with another person are nuanced, rife with reward and challenge. Couples therapy can provide much needed neutral space in which to explore where you are and where you want to be as a couple; whether coming together, growing together, or growing apart.

When couples are experiencing high levels of distress, it is usually a sign that they have fallen into repetitive patterns of conflict, or negative interactional cycles, and are having a hard time breaking out. Most arguments appear to be related to issues of money, household chores, raising children, sex, etc. However, these arguments are usually being fueled by protests of not feeling safe, secure, or connected in the relationship.
Couples therapy begins with an assessment that is used to help understand your interactional “dance.” My goal in working with couples is to help them change their dance and begin to secure a stronger emotional bond with one another
