Straightforward, proactive, and empowering are descriptors of my therapeutic style. I am a therapist who strives for resolution and attainable therapeutic goals for clients. Are you struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, substance or behavioral addiction, or the negative effects of another’s addiction? Through a relationship with a supportive counselor, life’s challenges can become opportunities for emotional, psychological and spiritual growth. My practice is open to children, adolescents and adults.
Not connecting with your child/teen? Feel at a loss as a parent? Relationship suffering? Feeling overwhelmed or that your life is out of balance? I work with individuals who are experiencing conflict, including children & adolescents who struggle to manage their anger, exhibit disruptive behaviors, and/or have difficulty with social interactions. I have a keen understanding of the many different circumstances (developmental, familial, or social) that can affect children & adolescents & trigger emotional or behavioral struggles.
Parents are the experts on their children, but all parents can sometimes use assistance in understanding how to best help their child when their child may be struggling. I assist children & adolescents in developing skills they need to have successful relationships and rebuild their connection with their family, friends & community.
Psychotherapy should help to alleviate your distressing symptoms and provide the boost you need in order to prevail over current obstacles. On a deeper level, therapy should also foster change in underlying psychological patterns, enabling greater satisfaction, productivity, and a sense of mastery in your work and relationships. With compassion and understanding I integrate complementary techniques to offer a personalized approach for each client.
