I know reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, overwhelming, or even a little intimidating. My hope is to create a space where you or your child can exhale, feel accepted, and know you do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I believe therapy is not about “fixing” people — it is about helping people better understand themselves, strengthen their resilience, and reconnect with the parts of themselves that may feel lost, overwhelmed, or stuck. I strive to bring warmth, authenticity, humor when appropriate, and genuine compassion into every session so clients feel safe enough to grow at their own pace.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 20 years working in education and senior services. Those experiences gave me a deep appreciation for the unique struggles and strengths people experience throughout different stages of life. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, and I value the opportunity to support clients through both difficult seasons and personal growth.
I currently provide therapy to individuals facing a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, life transitions, and more complex mental health conditions. My background as an educator allows me to connect especially well with children, preteens, teens, and families, while my work with older adults has strengthened my understanding of aging, caregiving stress, and later-life transitions.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and person-centered. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and EMDR, while tailoring therapy to each client’s individual needs, goals, and strengths. I believe healing happens within strong therapeutic relationships, and I strive to help clients feel supported, empowered, and understood throughout the process.
Clients often describe me as calm, empathetic, and easy to talk to. Whether I am helping a child build emotional coping skills, supporting a teen through anxiety or identity challenges, or walking alongside an adult processing trauma or major life changes, I aim to help clients build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and create lasting positive change.
