I work with adolescents and adults who want to get back in touch with what is most important to them to feel more connected to themselves and others.  If you are anxious, struggling to focus, overwhelmed by school, work, or life, or frustrated by family, I am trained to help. I can share with you techniques to manage anxiety, overcome past & present challenges, connect more authentically with others, and identify skills that will help you succeed in school, work and life.  Whether you are struggling with trauma, grief, depression/anxiety or other mental/emotional stress, we will work together to find the tools that best support your overall well-being.

Collaboration, clarity, consistency and compassion are the framework for the relationship that is formed with my clients.  I believe that there is an inherent good in each of us, and with the right approaches and techniques, this core can be cultivated no matter how challenging or painful life may sometimes be.  My strength is in helping you figure out what is within your control and what is not. My overriding interest is in challenging/supporting you to let go of maladaptive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are interfering with your ability to achieve your life goals and realize your fullest potential.

I tend to use an eclectic approach and tend to view things through the lens of trauma and attachment.  I pull resources from a variety of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, Relational, ACT, Integrated Family Systems, Wilderness Therapy and Somatic Therapy.  Together, we will find a balance of insights and skills that work best for you.

Although I have many specialties, I am passionate about helping clients with trauma, addiction to drugs/alcohol, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, and loss.  I believe that the counseling process is a sacred space where I’m given the honor of walking with clients through whatever brings them into my office.  I strive to create a safe space where you can explore the challenges you are facing. It is important for you to find a therapist with whom you feel comfortable.

My master’s degree is in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder Colorado. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addictions Counselor with 15 years of experience providing support to individuals and groups.
