Life can be so difficult. Stress, life transitions, anxiety, and fear can stop us in our tracks and there are times when it is so important to have a genuine, compassionate and skilled therapist to listen, guide and encourage us along the way. It isn’t easy to ask for help and seek support, it is however, courageous.
In my office you will feel safe, heard and respected. We will work together to help you process and heal as well as develop goals that we co-create to help you make the changes you want in life. I believe we all have the ability to become our highest selves. It is an honor and a privilege to help and witness another person’s journey and transformation. My approach is client centered, where I focus on one’s strengths and abilities, looking at what is working and courageously examining what may need to change and how to implement those changes. It’s so hard to understand how our pain is serving us, but I have found that our suffering is there for a reason, guiding us to listen, pay attention, and ask ourselves what we should be learning and how we can grow.
I enjoy working with adolescents from middle school through high school. I also work with young adults, older adults and couples. I have over 25 years of experience in the counseling field. Most recently I worked as a Clinical Supervisor with the Boulder County Prevention /Intervention Program where I supervised therapists working with adolescents in the St. Vrain Valley School District. Prior to being a supervisor, I worked at Longmont High School as the Interventionist, providing crisis counseling and short term therapy to adolescents. Additionally, I have worked as a therapist with college students at Front Range Community College and with chronically mentally ill adults in a day treatment program.
I look forward to meeting you to help facilitate the change you are looking for in your life.
