I believe that, much like our skin naturally heals when cut, our psyche also seeks to heal when wounded. Each person possesses an inner healing intelligence — a powerful force that moves us toward growth, wholeness, resilience, and the ability to thrive. My work as a therapist is centered around helping clients reconnect with that inner capacity for healing and discovering what creates meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
I work with clients ages 13 and older and provide individual, couples, and family counseling. I strive to create a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring life’s challenges, strengthening relationships, and developing greater self-understanding.
I earned my Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southeastern Louisiana University.
In addition to counseling, I am an Associate Credentialed Life Coach (ACC) and a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Instructor. I trained through the Center for Coaching Excellence and hold a credential through the International Coaching Federation (ICF), widely recognized as the gold standard in life coaching. I also studied under internationally acclaimed meditation teacher David Nichtern and earned certification as a Meditation Instructor through Dharma Moon and Tibet House.
Over the past twelve years, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of populations and experiences. My background includes counseling adolescents in local communities, supporting young men with felony histories, and working with individuals overcoming homelessness and major life transitions. These experiences have deepened my belief in each person’s capacity for resilience, healing, and transformation.
My therapeutic approach is holistic, relational, and mindfulness-informed. I integrate evidence-based counseling techniques with mindfulness and inner healing practices to help clients navigate emotional pain, relationship challenges, anxiety, trauma, identity concerns, and life transitions. I believe therapy should not only help reduce suffering, but also support clients in building fuller, more connected, and more meaningful lives.
I am honored to walk alongside clients as they heal, grow, and rediscover their strengths.
Journaling is one of the most under-utilized and yet most powerful of practices in growth and healing. Our individual approach to it improves as we do it and we improve ourselves as we do it. Treat your journal as a project folder for your work on yourself. Use it as a serious student of your own life. Start with a few lines a day, with any of these prompts:
What did I learn today?
What idea is worth capturing?
What happened that I don’t want to forget?
What am I noticing about myself?
What decision, pattern, or lesson is emerging?
