I am passionate about providing counseling services to clients in all stages of life. My practice focuses on helping children through adults solve immediate problems and live happier lives as individuals and in relationships. I offer individual, couples and family counseling. Using a direct and interactive approach, my goal is to foster increased self-awareness and insight, suggest alternative approaches and help clients develop skills needed to function in their lives more wholly. Clients who work with me value my straightforward approach. In the most empathetic way, I’m going to challenge your thinking so you start feeling better. My clients come to understand that they must act if they sincerely desire change.
Prior to attending graduate school and entering the field of mental health, I worked in the healing professions as a certified massage therapist, holistic health practitioner and consultant, and a hypnotherapist. Through these professions I have cultivated a compassionate, non-judgmental approach in working with clients to find a path toward health and healing. I’ve come to understand the need to address the whole person regardless of the presenting problems, and to partner with individuals, couples and families to find internal and external resources that would assist them in their path toward empowerment. My Master’s degree in Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Psychology has prepared me to counsel without preconceived notions or assumptions, and to work with a person in the moment to help them ground, gain insight, and reduce stress.
