Stress management, emotion management, mindfulness, and healthy relationship skills are essential to feeling happier. I base my approach on the belief that the client is the expert on his or her circumstances and that my job as a therapist, is not to dictate treatment, but to shape the process using the values, desires and needs of my clients. |

My background in education and child development has led me into the field of therapy, and I am inspired to help support clients navigate through life challenges. I am a school social worker offering counseling services to children and adolescents. I successfully connect with youth of all ages and I have experience with a wide variety of family and child situations. Therapy can improve teenagers’ ability to manage overwhelming emotions and stressors unique to their generation. I offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy; these approaches are coping skills based, widely researched, and often a highly effectively modality to improve teen and family emotional coping skills. My major focus is on developing and reinforcing skills which research show to foster healthy child development, self esteem and relationships while assisting families in developing nurturing and enriching environments for all members. |
