With great attention to what makes each of us unique, I love to support clients in feeling more whole as themselves. Our journeys as humans can feel quite isolating and confusing. Regardless of where your path has led you, I will meet you where you are and empower you to find your inner strength.  Many of us struggle with emotions and thoughts we don’t know how to cope with, and behaviors we don’t feel good about, and we may not know how to change this. It is difficult and frustrating to feel stuck. Therapy is a validating and affirming space. Please know that I have a profound passion for helping clients and I meet all inquiry with kindness and compassion.

I know it can be anxiety provoking to see a therapist. Please know that I am not here to judge you or ask you to be someone you are not. My goal is to listen and provide tools and strategies that help people live the lives they have imagined; to heal past wounds, to develop skills useful to everyday living, to have better relationships, to regain focus and vitality and to live a life of meaning.

I specialize in trauma, anxiety, neurodiversity, and domestic violence. I have had the training to work with cases involving human rights, social justice, and domestic violence; with the capacity to hold the light just as much as the dark. I have experience in helping individuals deal with depression, stress, PTSD, grief, peer relationships, goal-setting and relationship issues. But beyond these are many other areas in which I am experienced. I have a passion for serving the LGBTQIA+ community and offer affirming care.

Born in North Carolina and raised in Georgia, I am half Okinawaiian Japanese and American Russian Jew. I graduated from Naropa University with an MA in Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling. I utilize Mindfulness-based Therapy, Gestalt, DBT, CBT, and ExRP to assist clients in navigating their journeys.

It is important that clients find comfort in their own process as well as the working relationship over time. The emphasis on comfort brings me great joy in knowing that clients feel well taken care of.

Adolescents:
While I enjoy working with a wide range of people, I have a particular fondness for and experience helping children and adolescents as they find their way in the world. This time of life often brings both exciting opportunities and plenty of challenges. I want my clients to go from a place of surviving to thriving. I want to help them uncover how to find joy and perseverance in life by connecting deeper with themselves and others through the use of therapeutic strategies and interventions that they can carry with them forever. I work with clients in managing their emotions, improving their ability to communicate with others, and to build a healthy and resilient self-concept. increase self-awareness. It is my hope that through our collaboration together, you and your family will be able to create deeper more meaningful connections and develop a path for moving your relationships and yourself forward.
