Would you like to experience less conflict and more connection in your family? Are you worried about your child’s behaviors in school or at home? Are you unsure how to change current patterns in your relationships? Therapy can be an opportunity for you to develop more effective communication, foster healthier relationships with your children and partner, and create a deeper awareness of your own strengths.
In my practice, I work with children of all ages, helping them and their families manage a multitude of psychological and behavioral challenges. I also work with families in conflict, couples dealing with a variety of relationship issues, and adults throughout the lifespan. My passions include working with adoptive and other families on attachment and early trauma, and children and adults who have experienced sexual trauma.
You are the expert on yourself and your family; therefore I approach my work from a strengths-based, family-centered perspective. I utilize interventions from a variety of theoretical approaches, including attachment, solution focused and trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy. My focus is on helping children and families develop and expand their own coping skills and strategies so that they can more effectively regulate emotions and behaviors, manage stressful situations, and increase self-awareness. It is my hope that through our collaboration together, you and your family will be able to create deeper more meaningful connections and develop a path for moving your relationships and yourself forward.
