Michelle Rincon, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

I am dedicated to guiding others gently towards their own innate wisdom, strengths, and their unique gifts to self-empowerment. I understand that it is not always easy to make the decision to begin therapy and I honor your courage and strength to seek support.

I specialize in trauma resolution- PTSD, complex trauma and intergenerational trauma. As well, I work with people struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, family strife, parent-coaching, and unforeseen crisis. I have a passion for sorting out human relationships, supporting couples, families, children and adolescents. I am inspired by young adults with their immense challenges and struggles they face navigating their future independence on their path to finding themselves in a complex world. I believe adolescents are our precious future and helping them integrate their struggles, while encouraging their own strengths and desires is the key to the health of our community.

My approach depends on the needs of each client. Because the client-therapist relationship is the foundation of any successful therapy, my initial focus is always on creating a trusting environment in which clients feel comfortable exploring their lives. Once trust and rapport have established, this relationship becomes a window into my clients’ relationships -both historical and contemporary – and, as such, an essential contributor to lasting change. I believe understanding aspects of early relationships is key to alleviating current symptoms and overcoming a wide range of difficulties, whether longstanding or acute.

I am passionate in my desire to help enrich and transform peoples’ lives so they can connect to themselves and others in a genuine and compassionate way. As human beings in an imperfect world, life at times can feel complicated, challenging and confusing. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed and then we don’t know where to turn. This is where having the support of another may help. I offer an updated approach and clear guidance to guide to you find fresh understandings so that new behaviors and experiences reshape how you see yourself. I provide insight-oriented and trauma-sensitive therapy with keen understanding that you, the client are the expert on your life. Wherever you are in your process I am here to help you accelerate your healing so that you may create the life and relationships that you most deeply want.
