Lynda Hilburn, LPC, CAC II, CCHt

Licensed Professional Counselor

Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to explore my practice. Do you feel stuck? Are you the person you want to be? Do you believe change is possible? Many of us spend years sleepwalking — acting out old patterns, beliefs and fears. We’re either unaware of other options or nervous about taking the steps required for change. By courageously reaching out for help and exploring therapy you’re one step closer to creating a new life. If you’re feeling depressed, anxious, lost or confused — or if you’re struggling with trauma or substances — call me. I can help.

As a client-centered, change-directed therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and have a life that is worth celebrating. While we can’t remove difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

If you’re looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you’re just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

I am a Licensed Psychotherapist, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Addictions Counselor II and Life Coach, with 20+ years of experience providing successful psychotherapy to individuals, couples and groups, working with a wide range of complex emotional problems. My specialties include: depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, substance use, life coaching and women’s issues.

My style is warm and engaged. I offer compassionate, client-centered, change-focused therapy, utilizing traditional and nontraditional approaches, including talk therapy, hypnotherapy/guided imagery, EMDR, Gestalt, Jungian, writing, music, DBT, CBT, Narrative and other modalities. Life is richer with laughter, so I bring humor to my sessions.
