Life is tough in many ways. Collaboration is the key to empowering clients to learn and grow. In more than 30+ years as a psychologist, I’ve cultivated a profound respect for ways people reshape their lives despite daunting problems. I have addressed the big issues and the small concerns with people who have brought into the room the stumbling blocks they experience daily. I listen with an unconditional ear to the needs of each individual, couple or family I work with. I engage with people who are experiencing emotional pain, sadness, and worry, as well as those who are facing grief, life changes, relationship problems, a history of trauma and people who are having difficulty adapting to a new medical diagnosis or a chronic medical condition. I work with individuals, couples and families providing treatment for depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting support, career issues, stress, addiction recovery and conflict resolution to name a few. I have a passion for assisting children through adults working through behavioral and emotional issues.
Though very eclectic, as a clinical psychologist with a subspecialty in Family Therapy, I find that a tailored goal oriented focus using cognitive behavioral and family therapy strategies (solution and narrative therapy) in a step by step fashion works best. I am a strong believer in working with the clients in their existing condition and building strategies for where they will be in the future.
I also provide life coaching, psychological testing and consultation with therapists who may want a second opinion.
