It is difficult to not be stressed when you are navigating through major life changes, the demands of modern life and the various uncertainties that we all face. Oftentimes people go through life feeling they are never really heard or seen, or maybe they are afraid to show parts of themselves because it feels too vulnerable and scary. Whether you are feeling anxious, helpless, depressed, or feel getting through the day is harder than you’d like it to be, you do not have to overcome the challenges of life alone. Together we will explore your present circumstances, cut through the mess to improve clarity, and develop strategies to resolve life conflicts.
I pursued social work with the desire to help individuals with various issues, but mostly to assist people in recognizing their true potential and ability to be a functioning successful, healthy, positive person in this chaotic world we live in. My approach focuses on cultivating a safe, non-judgmental, collaborative, strength-based experience tailored to each individual client. Together we will explore behavioral patterns and cognitions and explore change. I believe in goal setting, focusing on the past for understanding of feelings, but moving forward to get a client where they want to be. My goal is to provide strategies and tools that can be easily integrated into daily routines to enhance the experience of overall well-being and satisfaction with life.
I have assisted clients with anxiety, school refusal, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, social skills, behavioral issues, family conflict, peer relationships, self-esteem, identity exploration and so forth. I specialize in working with college students, young adults, young couples and young parents working through modern day challenges. LGBTQIA+ Affirming.
There can be hard moments in therapy, but there is also laughter and connection. I am here to walk alongside you and to hopefully offer a new perspective, skills, guidance, and support.
